Case studies

Heritage Surveys was appointed to act as lead project managers and contract administrators in relation to the replacement of damaged / cracked and missing encaustic ceiling tiles within the Whitehall Suite, Royal Horse Guards Hotel, 2 Whitehall Court, London.

The Whitehall Suite is used as a conference and dining room in the prestigious 5 star hotel. The building was designed by the well-known English Architect Alfred Waterhouse (who also designed the National History Museum) and was constructed in 1884 for the National Liberal Club.

Encaustic tiles are ceramic tiles with designs which date back to medieval times, however were reintroduced in the Victorian era, as seen at the Royal Horseguards Hotel.
