Hertiage Surveys were appointed to undertake an initial survey of the external masonry of the Old War Offce, following reports of failing / defective stoneworks. 

Following the inspection Heritage Surveys were appointed as lead consultants and contract administrators in connection with the external cleaning and repair of the facades, which included; Whitehall, Horse Guards Avenue and Whitehall Court.

The repair of the facades included the conservation and restoration of the fine sculptures at high level, which involved re-gilding elements.
